Official BT Speed Test

You've been there, we all have. Your internet seems slow, you check to see if your downloading anything, you reboot your machine, and you check for Spyware... oh I hope to god you check for spyware, but its still the same.
What do you do?
You can do a speedtest.
Heres how.

Step 1.
Put your telephone number in the required field and go.
This will tell you if your results are in BT's limits.
Move to step 2 after 30 minutes of testing.

Step 2.
Disconnect and connect using the details below:
Password : testing
This connects you directly to your exchange. Then go to
Step one and repeat.

If your speeds do not match or are way out then call your ISP.
If they do match and are in the limits there is really nothing that your ISP can do.

Hope this helps some people out.

Remember this only works on ADSL broadband over BT's network.
